Transumbilical Breast Augmentation:
Transumbilical
Breast Augmentation, also known as belly-button breast enlargement, is
an operation designed to allow breast augmentation without visible
scars. The breast implants are inserted through a small incision in the
umbilicus, or belly-button, and gently introduced under the breasts via
a
tunnel that is created in the subcutaneous tissue.
Originally used
only to place implants directly under the breast tissue (submammary
placement) this approach is now used for placement under
the muscle as well (submuscular placement), providing an additional
layer of natural tissue to cover the implants. Call Dr. Solmer to find
out if this technically advanced approach is suitable for you.
