Newport Beach Arm Lift

If you are embarrassed by the appearance of your upper arms, especially if you have flabby skin, you may want to consider an arm lift. Usually when the upper arm does not have a slim firm appearance there is an excess of fat or skin or both. A fatty excess can be treated with liposuction, and sometimes that is all that is necessary, even with some degree of skin laxity. A significant amount of loose skin requires excision and tightening of the skin, known as an arm lift or brachioplasty. This procedure will tighten the hanging skin, but requires an incision which means there will be a scar. Every effort will be made to keep the scar as inconspicuous as possible, but it will be visible to some degree. If there is also excess fatty tissue Dr. Solmer generally treats that with liposuction immediately before removing the excess skin.

After surgery you will have an ace wrap around the arms for about a week, but it should be removed and rewrapped daily and as needed to prevent it from being too tight or too loose. Most people return back to work within a week and experience minimal discomfort. Feel free to call for further information or to schedule an appointment.

Feel free to call board certified plastic surgeon Richard Solmer M.D. for further information or to schedule an appointment for your arm lift consultation at 949 548-0227.
